The Inside Edge

Where I take you behind-the-scenes of this week’s @SkatingPj Podcast.

The mind-body connection is well documented. The way the mind works in athletes is unique and sometimes thoughts can get in the way of performance. Enter Rebekah Dixon, mind-body performance coach. Her approach is practical, empathetic and knowledge-based. Rebekah is a former skater whose philosophy is one built on research.

In this podcast, Rebekah talks about her path to creating this online program and what she feels is the value that she offers her clients. She even shares with us some tips on how to manage stress. It is well worth the listen.

If you want to find out more, visit Rebekah’s website for more information or follow her on Twitter @TheRebekkahDixon.

Where I highlight a video related to this podcast.

For today’s installment, I thought it would be fun to take a look at a program from one of the people with whom Rebekah works. In the podcast, she mentioned working with two-time pair champion Meagan Duhamel. I thought it would be fun to take a look at Meagan along with partner Eric Radford in competition this season. This is their winning free program from the recent Canadian National Figure Skating Championships. Click on the image below to watch the video.
