Storytime with Paul Dore

If you’re an Open Kwong Dore Podcast subscriber, you might be confused, but please don’t be. Here at Open Kwong Dore Media, we’ve had this evolution in the works for a while. Podcasting is still a new medium and we wanted to switch things up a bit. So, every two weeks, I (Paul) will be sharing a short story with you as well as a segment called ‘Paul’s Picks’ where I tell you about something I am reading, listening to or watching.

The Story

Recorded at the very first Stories We Don’t Tell live event, this is a story about love, self-reflection, broken hearts and a talking dildo.

I remember being very nervous going into this event as I had no real prior experience with storytelling in front of an audience. And part of the story included a talking dildo, so there was a certain level of risk.

By the audience reaction, I think it went over well. Maybe other people have had the experience of a talking dildo?

Paul’s Pick

Team Human is a weekly podcast and set of resources enabling human intervention in the economic, technological and social programs that determine how we live, work and interact.

The podcast is hosted by Douglas Rushkoff, an author, media theorist and professor. His many books include Program or Be Programmed, Present Shock and Throwing Rocks at the Google Bus and all look deep into the question of reprogramming society to better serve humans.
