The Inside Edge is where I take you behind-the-scenes of this week’s @SkatingPj Podcast. I love talking to David Pelletier! He’s smart, funny and willing to help out a pal. When we were together a couple of weeks ago for a show on CBC, it struck me that getting David’s perspective on the pairs’ field for Worlds would be amazing. I asked – and he agreed. David’s insights are always rock solid and to be able to turn on the microphone and talk shop is definitely a highlight for me.

In David’s real life, he spends a lot of time on the ice working with hockey. From the Edmonton Oilers to his son’s hockey team, getting the skills up to par is what David is all about. Funny enough, that’s what matters to him in figure skating as well.

Whether you are a long time fan or someone who is just discovering figure skating, this podcast all about pair skating with David Pelletier is for you.

Am interested to know what you think – so get in touch via twitter @skatingpj to get in on the conversation. Listen to the Open Kwong Dore Podcast episode that covers David’s skating career:

Episode 43: David Pelletier

The Outside Edge is where I highlight videos from across the skating world and bring you a little bonus from somewhere on YouTube or beyond. David Pelletier’s superior skating skills have made him in demand for organizations like the Edmonton Oilers as a skating skills coach. The perfect control and mastery of the blade are in very clear evidence here. If all hockey skaters skated like this, I might even consider watching! #MyBetter is the hashtag to get the chance to skate with David Pelletier.
