The Inside Edge is where I take you behind-the-scenes of this week’s @SkatingPj Podcast. What can you say about a person who is passionate enough about the sport of figure skating that they put all of what they think on social media? I e-met Jackie Wong while he was still writing for the Examiner and have always appreciated his fair and even manner in his approach to covering figure skating.

He created a website called rockerskating.com and continues his work covering events with great success across Twitter and Instagram @rockerskating and on Facebook.com/rockerskating. Jackie’s tweets alone generated 40 million impressions. Let’s face it, I may have a case of Twitter envy!

Jackie’s quick turnaround and accuracy of information during events makes him one of the sport’s trusted go-to sources for information. I know that I am always checking to see what he has posted on Twitter.

In this insightful conversation, you will learn about Jackie’s background, his work and he even dishes on some of his favourite skating moments. Whether you’re a fan or not, this conversation is for you.

The Outside Edge is where I highlight videos from across the skating world and bring you a little bonus from somewhere on YouTube or beyond. The reason Jackie says he got into skating in the first place is a Kurt Browning performance from the 1993 World Figure Skating Championship – just for fun: here is Kurt’s Casablanca program.
