The Inside Edge is where I take you behind-the-scenes of this week’s @SkatingPj Podcast. Getting the chance to speak with two-time US Ladies figure skating champion Alissa Czisny was something I had been looking forward to for some time. It finally happened at the World Figure Skating Championships in Boston this past March and was well worth the wait. Intelligent and soft-spoken, I appreciated that Alissa was willing to talk about the good and the bad in her skating career; from how she got her start to competition successes, injuries and what’s new with her professional career.

If you don’t know much about Alissa, this is the place to start! You can follow he on Instagram @LissaStarr and, if you’re really lucky, catch her skating, coaching or hanging out at a rink/show near you.

The Outside Edge is where I highlight videos from across the skating world and bring you a little bonus from somewhere on YouTube or beyond. Pj’s chatty silent co-producer Paul works at the Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center for their holiday skating shows. Last year, Alissa was one of the guest skaters and Paul captured a quick lesson she had with some of the local skaters. Check it out below:
