Episode Thirty-Two: Geoffrey Tyler
Geoffrey Tyler is a man of many talents: actor, singer, dancer, director and most recently figure skating coach/choreographer based in Toronto. Pj first became aware of Geoffrey through skaters Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje as well as Kurt Browning. Kurt and Geoffrey met while working on Peter Pan together forging an immediate bond. When Pj interviewed Kurt he mentioned that he thought Geoffrey would be a good podcast subject. The funny thing is that Pj already had Geoffrey in mind. It was interesting for her to think of a non-skating person having such a strong influence on skaters. Fast forward to this season and Geoffrey was offered the opportunity to choreograph this year’s competition short dance for Kaitlyn and Andrew.
Just one of the many things that makes Geoffrey a fascinating subject.
The conversation ambled from childhood to life as an actor to his involvement in figure skating and specifically his inspiration for the Weaver/Poje short dance.
